AI Employee is a Chrome extension. This page explains, plainly, what data it handles and where it goes.
Your AI Employee profile (your name, your assistant's name, your notes, and preferred language) and your chat history are stored locally in your browser, using chrome.storage.local. We do not have a database of user profiles or conversations — this data lives on your device and is only removed when you use "Clear chat" or uninstall the extension.
Signing in uses Google's own OAuth flow via Chrome's built-in chrome.identity API. We only ever obtain your email address and your Google account ID — nothing else from your Google account. These two values are used to identify your account for the trial and subscription described below, and are stored locally in chrome.storage.local on your device.
Your Google access token is sent to our backend only transiently, with each request, to verify your identity directly against Google's own servers. The backend does not store this token.
If you upgrade to AI Employee Pro, payment is handled entirely by Stripe. Your card details are entered directly on Stripe's own checkout page and are never seen by us. Our backend associates your Google account (email and account ID) with a Stripe Customer record so it can track your 7-day trial and, if you subscribe, your subscription status.
Page content, selected text, and the prompts used by tools like Improve, Summarize, and chat are processed locally by Chrome's built-in on-device AI model (Gemini Nano). None of that content is sent to our billing backend or to us.
Remove Ads only inspects and modifies the page already open in your browser tab, locally. Nothing about the pages you visit or the ads it hides is sent anywhere.
